This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by John McLaughlin. John McLaughlin had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Belo Horizonte’ really is amazing. Exciting stuff.
La Baleine is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Very Early (Homage To Bill Evans) (1:12) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Voice of John McLaughlin in One Melody is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. John McLaughlin offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Zamfir is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Manitas D’oro (For Paco De Lucia) I just LOVE this mix!
